Clinical Image

An HIV1-infected 60-year-old man underwent (18) F-FDG PET/CT scan after six cycles of chemotherapy for a diffuse large B cell lymphoma. He had been on a salvage antiretroviral regimen including didanosine, lamivudine, darunavir, ritonavir, etravirine and enfuvirtide for one year. Residual localisations of lymphoma were not detected but radionuclide imaging showed multiple subcutaneous hypermetabolic areas in shoulders and buttocks (arrows) and in the inferior abdomen due to local reactions to enfuvirtide injections.
