The patient was 40 years old, with no previous pathological history of note, and presented with decreased visual acuity in his right eye. The ophthalmological examination revealed visual acuity of 10/10 in the left eye and 5/10 in the diseased eye, normal ocular tone and the presence of a cataract with a spider's web appearance. The rest of the examination was unremarkable, including the eye foundation and the examination of the left eye.
